Fred Danziger:...student work... ...alienation? Trova, Keinholtz...
"Man Behind Door" 1969 --oil-- 48" x 40"
This painting was part of my effort to explore "white" in the same way I
had explored "black." I don't remember anything specific about my
motivation with this piece. There were plenty of stimuli along these
lines at the time...I remember
wanting to express the thought of a solid door, which was battered,
and repainted again and again- but in the end was unyeilding...
