"My Father Made Steel"

1988 Acrylic 42" x 30" by F. Danziger

I painted my father as a worker, which he was. He made nails, and howitzer barrels during WW2. He told me the stories of the "Depression," and of how great FDR was. He had a career as a singer in his youth. They called him "the Bing Crosby of Pittsburgh." That is a picture of his band, on the "wall" behind him.
