The Event- On July 8th 1776, inspired bt the Declaration of Independence, an angry group of people stormed into what we now call Independence Hall. They tore King George's large coat of arms from the wall and took it out into the streets! ( Source material for painting includes contemporary photos of the room in Independence Hall in which the coat of arms was believe to have been hung, prior to the revolution.)
